We have reviewed your input here: http://care.udhc.co.in/INPUT/displayIssueGraphically.jsp?topic_id=220

Your central chest pain that has been bothering you since early January 2012 can be due to many reasons but going by your history the most likely reason seems to be esophageal reflux along with visceral hypersensitivity. We shall however appreciate a more detailed history from you regarding how and at what point these symptoms disturb your routine functioning each day.

For further investigation into esophageal reflux and visceral hypersensitivity we may need to get further tests such as 24 hour Esophageal pH monitoring as well as balloon distention test. (See page 51 here:http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3038318/pdf/GH-07-50.pdf)

In various studies some patients have been found to have excessive pathologic acid reflux as the intraesophageal stimuli, while others have normal physiologic acid exposure, suggesting acid hypersensitivity.Visceral hypersensitivity is a heightened conscious perception of visceral stimuli independent of the intensity. http://www.turner-white.com/memberfile.php?PubCode=hp_feb07_reflux.pdf
.

Will await further inputs and a more detailed history from you regarding how and at what point these symptoms disturb your routine functioning each day.

best regards,
